You are the most important person in creating a sustainable future for our planet. As a consumer, you have the choice as to where you invest your money, whether it’s a fashion accessory, the food you eat, a bank or superannuation fund. To reference Yvon Chouinard, the founder of Patagonia, change lies with the consumers. Once the consumers catch on to something, then corporations will follow and then the government will follow the corporations[1].

Our ZedRays vision is for sustainability to not even have to be mentioned in the future, as sustainable design will just be the norm. With more sustainable brands the consumers will have more choice. The environment wins and everyone is happy.

At ZedRays you can rest assured that the products you’re buying are sustainable as they all come from FSC certified forests.

What is FSC?

Glad you asked! FSC stands for Forest Stewardship Council, an international non-profit, non-governmental organisation, dedicated to promoting responsible forestry. FSC certifies forests all over the world to ensure they meet the highest environmental and social standards.

FSC certified forests have to meet rigorous standards, so you can be assured that they’re healthy, benefit local communities and provide jobs for workers. FSC certification tracks wood from the forest to the shelf. Products made with paper and wood from FSC forests are marked with the FSC ‘tick tree’ logo, so you can be confident that buying them won’t mean harming the world’s forests.

The great thing about FSC certification is that it gives you peace of mind when buying something. With the FSC tick you know you’re making ethical and responsible choices that support thriving forests for generations to come.

FSC was founded in 1993 and operates in over 80 countries, wherever forests are present.
